4tell™ Solutions, LLC is looking for a Senior Technologist to join its dynamic and rapidly growing organization. This position will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing functionality within 4tell’s core product offering as well as supporting complex implementations.

4tell’s growth strategy requires that the Company operate at a demanding pace. This key position will enjoy a high level of activity and will manage numerous projects and issues simultaneously. This is a hands-on position located in our Portland, Maine office and the Company is seeking a strong, experienced and talented individual for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within existing technology team to incrementally enhance the 4tell product offering.
• Participate and contribute to all levels of technical development from architecture to design and coding.
• Support Client Services in complex technical implementations.
• Become an expert power user of the 4tell product offering.
• Provide advanced training in the use of 4tell’s product offering to both the internal Client Services team and also to external clients and vendors.
• Support business development efforts which require technical assistance in the setup and running of live demonstrations.

Professional Requirements
Candidates for this position should have a college degree with at least 3-5 years of software development, project management and/or technical implementation experience. Specific requirements include:

• College degree with strong technology focus preferred but not required.
• 3-5+ years of software development, project management and technical implementation experience.
• Experience working within a technical development team and understanding what it means to deliver results in a team oriented environment.
• Experience bringing a product to market for internal or external clients and continuing to support and maintain the product after initial release.
• Knowledge in the use of OOP techniques to produce high quality code.
• Must take pride in developing elegant and high quality code to incrementally add value to the product offering to provide useful client solutions.
• Strong experience in .NET development, specifically in C# in both web and Windows environments.
• Experience with SQL Server, 2000, 2005 or 2008.
• Must have advanced SQL skills, DML, DDL including functions, stored procedures, CLR .net assembly loading.
• Must have a good working knowledge of networking, IIS6/7, Windows 2003/2008.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and growing environment is essential.
• Must be able to multi-task a variety of assignments with various levels of priority.
• Must display a high level of professionalism, diplomacy, integrity and confidentiality.
• Must have a positive, outgoing attitude toward vendors, clients, staff and stakeholders.
• Experienced in the use and programming of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).

Highly Desirable

• Experience with energy usage modeling and/or energy efficiency modeling for buildings and structures.
• Real estate, facility management and/or workplace management experience with a strong technology focus.
• Background in engineering, structural, civil, energy, etc.
• Experience with high level client interactions, face to face and remotely supporting business development, training and technology rollouts.
• Project management of either technical, non technical or combination projects.
• Knowledge in the use of ORM tools such as nHibernate and Spring.Net.
• Experience of similar capacity in a professional firm or start-up.
• Experience with venture capital or private equity backed company.
