I'll be there this evening's meeting, and possibly drag along a friend too.

I noticed that the doorprize is an O'Reily "JRuby" book - has anyone had any experience with JRuby?

Actually it is funny that you ask about JRuby. I am working on a project right now where I am using JRuby to implement a JRuby on Rails application that is integrated into the LifeRay Java portal server.

Very cool.

I haven't heard of LifeRay before. I wikipedia'd them - it seems like
that they can run just about every framework you can dream up.

What sort of situations would you want to use LifeRay over, say, Glassfish?

The previous post was posted by replying to "usergroups@techmaine.com" via e-mail.

I think this is the first time I've seen this - how was this done? How does the program parse the correct usergroup and discussion thread (or was that from the text inside the parentheses)?
