BASIC PURPOSE:
Support and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructures at customer locations. Assist Network Engineers in the repair and deployment of network infrastructure devices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up, configure and support internal and/or external networks.

Develop and maintain all systems, applications, security and network configurations.

Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.

Install and maintain specific client applications.

Maintain hardware and software products; assist as needed in the installation of network infrastructure equipment and other network infrastructure tasks.

Monitoring and troubleshooting of LAN and WAN system performance and resolving network related issues.

Coordinating technical, client staff, and vendors to ensure effective implementation of new or enhanced system or system software.

Accurately update and maintain client documentation within the Client Documentation database.

Make time entries promptly, thoroughly and accurately to ensure company profitability and meet billable utilization goals for the position.

Provide advanced training to users on hardware and software applications.

Meet and comply with all company policies, guidelines, and requirements regarding security compliance.

Perform other service and support tasks as dictated by daily business needs and as directed by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:
Minimum formal education, experience and training:
Bachelor’s Degree in technical field with 3+ years of related technical experience required. In-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2000/2003 administration; Exchange server and Outlook clients. Demonstrated experience in PC diagnostics, switches, router and firewalls and end-user problem resolution. Must have experience using Cisco, VMwear and Citrix. Must be able to work outside normal business hours. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is required.
Preferred formal education, experience and training:
Certified Microsoft MCSA or MOUS, or Citrix CCA desired.
Other knowledge and skills:
Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as excellent communication skills. Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment. Ability to effectively work with internal and external clients at all levels. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently is necessary.
